Show #17! I finally get a new mixer, and replace my old piece of crap one (with a new piece of crap!). I'm still not firmly at the helm, so be gentle. Lots of good songs in this episode, though, with a particular emphasis on the island sounds... a celebration of the independence of the Bahamas through funk, some quality reissues (Richard Stoute, Funky Nassau), and some generally great songs (Willie Hutch, Curtis Mayfield) round out this episode.
