In Celebration of Double-Sided 45s!
Show #44: Some funk, some latin, some groovy music... One of the great things in life is a double-sided 45, a single where both the A and B sides are solid pieces of music... this is celebrated in this week's show with Charlie Palmieri's 'Bugalu' (the flip to 'Uptight', played last week) and Kool and the Gang's 'Dujii' (the flip to the awesome 'Hollywood Swinging'). Other great tunes in this week's show include Lee Fields, the Mighty Imperials, James Brown, a funkified Sonny Bono (!), Serge Gainsbourg, Lee Gagnon and the Jeremie Soundtrack, solid jazz fusion with Tarika Blue, and great Gabonese musician Pierre Akendengue. Enjoy!
